Virginia Beach, the most populous city in Virginia, is in the southeastern part of the state. The city consists of 35 miles of beachfront and roughly 80 miles of scenic waterways. The oceanfront city is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as being “The World’s Largest Pleasure Beach.” Virginia Beach is home to several military bases including Naval Air Station Oceana and the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dam Neck, and has the world’s largest Naval base right in it’s backyard.
